FAQ
Yes. All dancers must have a completed Redline waiver on file before participating — submitted by their legal guardian. Waivers can be completed on the Redline website and are valid for the entire calendar year.
At Redline, media isn’t an add-on — it’s part of the experience. All event photos and videos are included for participating dancers and studios at no additional cost so you can relive the energy, emotion, and excellence long after the event ends.
Most event media will be available shortly after a routine performs, allowing families and studios to relive and share the moment throughout the weekend. In some cases, venue internet limitations may delay uploads, so we appreciate your patience as files are processed and published.
Media is accessed through the Redline Media Portal by selecting your event and entering your dancer’s unique media key. Your media key is based on the dancer’s name and date of birth and provides access to all routines associated with that performer.
If your media is missing, your key isn’t working, or you experience any other media-related issues, please contact Same Day Productions support at info@samedayproductions.com. Be sure to include the competition, studio, and routine name in your message. If the issue occurs during the event weekend, you may also contact an SDP team member through the Live Chat provided on their website for assistance.
To protect our dancers, choreographers, and the integrity of each routine, personal photo and video recording during performances is not permitted.
Don’t worry — our media team has you covered. In partnership with Same Day Productions, every performance is professionally captured through photo and video and included as part of the Redline experience at no additional cost.
Families are welcome to capture memories during and after awards ceremonies, and all performance media will be available through your media account.
Yes. Redline events include livestream coverage so family and friends can follow along from anywhere.
For the protection of our dancers and studios, livestream access is password protected. Please contact your studio prior to the event for password information.
We work hard to provide a livestream at every Redline event so families and fans can experience the action in real time. Because livestream quality is dependent on the internet capabilities of each venue, connection strength may occasionally be limited or intermittent due to factors outside of our control. While our team does everything possible to deliver a seamless, high-quality viewing experience, some technical issues may not have an immediate resolution and we are not able to provide support for livestream issues. We appreciate your understanding should they arise.
Unplanned. Unfiltered. Unforgettable.
Redline: Unscripted is our high-energy improv competition open to all registered dancers, regardless of level. Designed to celebrate creativity, instinct, and stage presence, it’s one of the most exciting opportunities of the weekend.
How It Works

Awards
Finalists will be recognized as:
- Champion
- 1st Runner-Up
- 2nd Runner-Up
At Redline, we believe in more than moments on stage — we believe in giving back. Photogenic for Charity is Redline’s optional photogenic competition benefiting Dancers Against Cancer. 100% of proceeds are donated directly to the organization.
To enter, bring a printed photo or submit digitally at the Redline Boutique with the dancer’s name, age, studio, and a $35 entry fee per photo. Multiple photos may be submitted, each with its own entry fee. Submissions will close leading up to the start of the awards ceremony, and winners will be announced during their respective age group awards.
Photos may be picked up at the Boutique after awards or at event close. Redline is not able to return any photos left at the competition.
Yes. Additional trophies may be purchased at the Merchandise Booth after an awards ceremony. If the award you would like is not available on-site, please email our team to request one from our warehouse. Shipping charges may apply.
Official placements, awards, and event results will be uploaded to the Results page the week following each event. The Redline Leaderboard is updated on the homepage of our site the week following each event.
Venue addresses, hotel blocks, and additional event details can be found on each city page throughout the Redline Circuit. Nationals-specific information will be available on the Nationals page.

Dressing space is available on a first-come, first-served basis — but don’t worry, there’s room for everyone.
We ask all dancers, teachers, and families to help us keep the dressing room environment positive, respectful, and welcoming throughout the weekend.

The Redline Difference Maker Pin is awarded throughout the weekend by our staff to individuals who make a positive impact on the event experience through their actions, attitude, and kindness.
Whether it’s encouraging another dancer, helping a fellow studio, showing respect to staff, holding a door open, creating positive energy in the audience, or simply leading with character, we believe those moments matter.
This recognition is open to everyone at Redline — dancers, teachers, studio owners, parents, and family members alike. Because while great performances deserve to be celebrated, the people who help create a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring environment deserve recognition too.
At Redline, excellence goes beyond the stage.
The Redline Nation Pin is awarded to dancers who help bring the energy, excitement, and spirit of Redline to life throughout the weekend.
Dancers featured by our Hype Crew in social media content, videos, interviews, TikToks, or event coverage may receive the coveted Redline Nation Pin as recognition for being part of the movement.

Redline was built for studios that expect more from the competition experience. In an industry that has become increasingly corporatized, we believe relationships still matter and customer service should never be an afterthought. Our team brings decades of experience producing events and serving studios across the country, with a commitment to thoughtful planning, clear communication, and genuine support every step of the way.
If you’d like to learn more about our philosophy, team, or what to expect from a Redline event, we’d love to connect with you.
No. Redline does not charge mandatory media fees, schedule request fees, or credit card processing fees. Event photos and videos are included for participating dancers and studios because we believe families should have access to those memories without additional purchases or surprise expenses.
Yes. Redline offers both cash awards and scholarships throughout the season.
At Regional events, cash awards are presented through The Redline, while dancers and studios may also earn scholarships, event credits, convention opportunities, title program benefits, and other forms of recognition designed to support their continued growth and training.
At Nationals, cash awards are expanded significantly through programs such as The Redline, Studio of the Year, Break the Line Awards, Redline: Unscripted, and other specialty recognitions. In total, more than $10,000 in cash awards will be awarded throughout Nationals week.
For complete details regarding award amounts, eligibility requirements, scholarships, and title program benefits, please refer to the Rules & Awards Guide.
Redline does not use a standard schedule format. Each event schedule is created after registration closes and is built around registration totals, venue availability, and studio needs.
Our goal is to create a schedule that allows the competition weekend to run efficiently while accommodating studios whenever possible. Because every city is unique, schedules may vary from event to event.
Tentative schedules are typically released approximately 14 days prior to the event. Studios will have an opportunity to review registrations and make corrections before the final program is printed.
Your finalized schedule will be emailed directly to the studio account on file.
Yes. Studio directors may submit schedule requests by emailing info@redlinedance.com with “(Regional City) — Schedule Request” as the subject line.
Please include as much detail as possible regarding the request, including the reason for the request, the routines affected, and any specific timing considerations. For example:
- Prom
- All senior groups + elite teen duet/trios, large groups, and lines
- Must be done dancing by 4pm on Saturday
The more information provided, the better our team can evaluate the request.
Please note:
- Schedule requests are accepted from studio directors only.
- Schedule requests for solo routines will not be considered.
- While we cannot guarantee any request, we will accommodate whenever possible.
Our goal is always to create a schedule that serves the greatest number of dancers and studios while maintaining an efficient and fair event experience.
Tentative schedules are typically sent out to studios approximately 14 days prior to the event. Studios will have a short correction period to review registrations and request adjustments before the final program is printed. Specific correction deadlines will be communicated by email.
Your finalized schedule will be emailed to the studio account on file.
Yes. First, please review your invoice carefully prior to the registration deadline to ensure all entries are accurate. You are always able to submit changes to your registration prior to the registration deadline.
After tentative schedules are released, studios will have a limited correction period to make adjustments or notify our office of errors. Redline does not charge fees for registration changes.
Once the final program has been printed, no additional changes will be accepted. Redline does not accept registrations at the event, and all competing routines must appear in the official printed program.
All music must be uploaded through the registration portal. Music uploads are due by midnight on the Monday prior to the event weekend.
We recommend reviewing all music prior to submission to ensure tracks are properly edited, start and end as intended, and comply with applicable routine time limits. Taking a few extra moments to verify your music beforehand can help avoid timing issues and ensure a smooth competition experience for everyone.
Studios should also bring a backup copy of all music to the event on a properly labeled USB drive or device.
For music licensing requirements and additional details, please refer to the Rules & Awards Guide.
Detailed information regarding scoring, divisions, competition levels, title programs, awards, eligibility requirements, and event policies can be found in the Rules & Awards Guide.
If you have questions after reviewing the guide, our team is always happy to help.
The Redline Leaderboard celebrates the studios setting the pace throughout the season. Weekly rankings posted on our homepage highlight the Top 10 highest-scoring group routines from across the Redline Circuit, with one routine per studio eligible for inclusion.
At the conclusion of the season, the final Top 10 studios earn a place on the Redline Leaderboard and receive special recognition for leading the line.
Venue addresses, hotel blocks, and event-specific details can be found on each city page throughout the Redline Circuit. Nationals information is provided on the National’s page as available.
If a hotel room block appears to be sold out, please contact our office before making alternate arrangements. In many cases, we may be able to work with our hotel partners to secure additional rooms or assist with alternative accommodations.
